Washington Star Dismissed From Team

upshaw block

How often do you see this? The nations’ leader in block shots, transfer Robert Upshaw of University of Washington has been dismissed by the team due to “violating team rules”. Rumor has it the dismissal of the 7 footer may have been the end result of failed drug tests, something Upshaw dealt with when he went to Fresno State.

“We wish Rob well as he moves forward in his life, and we will do our best to support him in the future,” Washington coach Lorenzo Romar said in a statement.

Upshaw was averaging 11 pts, 8 rebs, and 4 blocks a game for the Huskies.
